Pettitte, Rivera and Robertson to be honored at BBWAA dinner

The Baseball Writers Association of America is holding their annual banquet in New York City tonight and three Yankees are to be honored at the ceremony.

Mariano Rivera and Andy Pettitte are in attendance to accept the Toast of the Town award while David Robertson will pick up the Good Guy Award, which was voted by the chapter members.

It was an obvious choice for Rivera and Pettitte to be the ‘Toast of the Town’ and Robertson was a great choice for the Good Guy Award due to his work with his charity High Socks For Hope. The dinner is just underway but it promises to be a great evening for baseball.

One Response to Pettitte, Rivera and Robertson to be honored at BBWAA dinner

It has been an honor and pleasure to watch 2 of the Greatest Yankees EVER. Unfortunately, or fortunately, I am old enough to have been Mickey Mantle place 1st base, was there to get the record of his recording of his retirement and even a kids Mantle signed bat (imprinted). I have many autographs and coming from 170 St in the Bronx spent much of my childhood there.
Yes, I was young but have been a wholehearted Yankee fan ever since (now live in south Florida). I was lucky enough to meet Moe, get his autograph and shake his hand in spring training (always my Bday present to myself 2/17). I love Andy, never has the honor to meet him or get his autograph (much sorrow), however, even as a grown woman I respect and thank them for all the joy they brought to my life. I have 3 daughters (were forced to watch Yankee games)
I will miss them so deeply. No matter who comes, goes, signs for tons of money unproven, there will NEVER be another Andy (my love) or Moe
Thank u both for all u gave me and everyone else
Will be there Feb 17 this year I know its a dream #60 for Andy's autograph. For 50 had pleasure of Roy White (my favorite) Andy would be a dream come true
Again, thank u for everything and all u gave, sacrificed and honored your FANS with
Will MISS the two BEST. No signing, trade, replacement WILL EVER come close
    "Thanks for the memories"
