Yankees make Tanaka signing official

It usually takes approximately 10 days for a contract to become official. In Masahiro Tanaka‘s case, it only took four hours.

The Yankees have announced that the Masahiro Tanaka deal is official and he has been placed on the 40 man roster. In a corresponding move, the Yankees designated David Huff for assignment.

So if you were skeptical about the Tanaka deal falling through–you can now put your fears to rest.

    Is that right? If Tanaka opted out after 2017 then Yankees would get about 560k extra for 2018 budget.

    7y/155m = 22.14 AAV without buyout option due to no mention of it.

      The Yankees aren't going to get another starter from the market. Fifth spot will probably be Pineda or Phelps.

    why don't people understand trades have to be agreed on by all teams involved, you can;t just get a guy because you want him.
