Cashman, Girardi and Levine make Super Bowl predictions

Tomorrow is an important day if you’re a football fan, a Denver Broncos fan or a Seattle Seahawks fan: It’s Super Bowl XLVIII in East Rutherford, New Jersey. With the Super Bowl a day away, athletes for other sports decided to predict who would win the Lombardi Trophy and that included Yankees manager Joe Girardi, Yankees general manager Brian Cashman and Yankees president Randy Levine (with Girardi being the only one to give an explanation for his). Here were their predictions:

Joe Girardi: SEAHAWKS 20, BRONCOS 17
“Defense wins games”

Brian Cashman: SEAHAWKS 28, DENVER 23

Randy Levine: BRONCOS 27, SEAHAWKS 24

As much as I like Joe Girardi and Brian Cashman, I’m going to have to go with Randy Levine on this one. Peyton Manning deserves to win a Super Bowl ring (he also deserved to end his career with the Indianapolis Colts, but that’s another story). Manning has put up historical numbers this season, and I expect him to complete his historical season  tomorrow night with the Lombardi Trophy in hand. I also have to go with Manning and the Broncos because his brother is Eli Manning and I’m a New York Giants fan.
