Full-squad workouts begin today

Yesterday the position players reported to camp, only to be sidelined by Derek Jeter‘s press conference. Today the entire squad will have their first workout at 11:00 a.m. at Steinbrenner Field. ┬áThose looking to get the first of many “last” glimpses of Derek Jeter will be able to see him at noon as he takes batting practice on the main field. Jeter was in the indoor cage and working on fielding ground balls with new teammate Brian Roberts early this morning.

For things that have happened this morning, Adam Warren and Vidal Nuno threw live batting practice and Michael Pineda threw a side bullpen. It’s not much, but things should pick up in the next half hour or so.
