Yankees no-hit in Game 1 of Legends Series

New York Yankees Brett Gardner

The Yankees were slated to play two games this weekend of the Legend Series in honor of Mariano Rivera. Well, other than the lovely atmosphere of Panama City, there was nothing to write home about offensively. The Yankees were no-hit by the Miami Marlins and dropped their second split squad game by the score of 5-0.

Adam Warren pitched well for the Yankees, going 4.1 IP while giving up one run on two hits and six strikeouts.

Dean Anna and Brett Gardner both reached first base on a hit by pitch and a walk respectively, but the Yankees couldn’t get anything going against Brad Hand and the Miami Marlins bullpen.
