By this time tomorrow, the Yankees will have Mark Teixeira back at first base, but on Tuesday it will be David Robertson‘s turn to come off the disabled list. In the meantime, Robertson is rehabbing–and he’s doing quite well, might I add.
Robertson pitched an inning and a third in a simulated game this afternoon, giving up a single, getting three ground ball outs and striking out a batter. He threw 16 pitches in his simulated game, 12 of them for strikes.
Robertson will now take the day off on Sunday and Monday before joining his bullpen mates Tuesday in Boston as the Yankees prepare to face the Red Sox for three games.
