After a rain out yesterday, the Yankees will go back on the field and play two games against the Chicago Cubs–all in one day. Yes, there’s a twin bill in the Bronx, meaning an afternoon and evening filled with Yankees baseball. As a reminder, here’s a few things going into the double header:
— The Yankees and Cubs are not allowed to bring a 26th man on the roster today. MLB rules states since the double header was announced less than 48 hours from the first games start time, the 26th man doesn’t apply.
— If you had tickets to last night’s game, you can use them only for the 1:05 p.m. game. The 7:05 p.m. game is separate admission. If you’re unable to attend the game, you can go to the box office and exchange it for any ticket to a future Yankees home game.
— The Yankees will honor Nelson Mandela and Jackie Robinson before tonight’s game of the double header. The Yankees will also wear the No. 42 jersey’s during tonight’s game.
I’ll have the pitching match-ups for the Yankees/Cubs a little later in the morning, but for now, let’s get ready for twin-billed baseball!
