Yankees vs. Mariners game postponed

Yankee Stadium 2

Tonight’s Yankees vs. Mariners game at Yankee Stadium has been postponed due to inclement weather. There is no makeup date as of yet, which most likely means the Yankees will not play a doubleheader on Thursday.

This is the second rain out for the Yankees, the first being against the Chicago Cubs. That game has since been made up.

Update: The Yankees will not play a DH tomorrow and they will make the game up later in the season. The Yankees will skip David Phelps‘s turn in the rotation and will have Hiroki Kuroda face the Mariners. Roenis Elias will make the start for the Mariners meaning Felix Hernandez will no longer pitch in this series.

Rescheduling Information: The Yankees and Mariners have rescheduled the game to June 2nd at 7:05 p.m. Fans with tickets to tonight’s rained out game can use them on June 2nd or go to the box office and trade them in for any regular season game within the next 12 months.
