Scranton Wilkes-Barre places Claiborne on DL

Do you remember Preston Claiborne, he was with the big league club for a little bit this season? Well, if the Yankees need a bullpen arm within the next 15 days, they can’t call him up.

According to Donnie Collins of the Scranton Times-Tribune, Claiborne was placed on the disabled list with a shoulder issue. He left last night’s game which the RailRiders lost 7-5. (Plus side, John Ryan Murphy hit a home ruin in that game).

Claiborne was actually doing quite well with the Scranton Wilkes-Barre RailRiders, posting a 2.76 ERA with 19 strikeouts in 16.1 innings.
