Yankees kick off 2014 HOPE Week

Every year, the New York Yankees kick off HOPE (Helping Other Persevere and Excel) Week, a week in which the Yankees bring to light remarkable stories that hope to inspire others in their community. This is the sixth year the Yankees have done HOPE Week and it’s my favorite week in the entire baseball season (yes, it even ranks higher than the All-Star Game and the World Series).

There have been some inspiring stories that have warmed my heart (last year’s HOPE Week event at the New Beginning Animal Rescue was my all-time favorite simply because I’m a massive animal lover), but this year, the Yankees are going to go all out. They haven’t revealed the details of this weeks events, but all we know about today’s event is that it will be held at the Intrepid Museum.

You can find blog posts on what the Yankees are doing for HOPE Week on the site all week long. For more information on HOPE Week, you can visit the official website here.
