Yankees officially sign No. 1 draft pick Jacob Lindgren

Ladies and gentlemen, Jacob Lindgren is now a New York Yankee.

The New York Yankees announced today they officially signed their number one draft pick from the 2014 MLB Draft, LHP Jacob Lindgren. In addition to Lindgren, the Yankees also signed six more of their draftees this afternoon:

1) RHP Austin DeCarr
2) RHP Jordan Foley
3) RHP Jonathan Holder
4) LHP Derek Callahan
5) RHP Corey Holes
6) RHP Lee Casas

Lindgren is projected to begin his MLB career with Class-A Charleston, which could mean he has a chance of going up the Minor League ladder to get to The Show quicker than the other draft picks. Only time will tell how long it will take for Lindgren to make it, but for now he gets to enjoy starting his professional career as a Yankee, which is probably almost every baseball players dream.
