    Pleasantly surprised and happy that Phelps had such a high-quality start. If he keeps it up, NY should have a better outcome come October.

    Meanwhile, let's please not think of Cervelli as a bench warmer. Let him spell Tex at first as well as McCann, and DH once in a while. Give him a chance to get in a hitting groove. He deserves a fair shot before he ages out or is traded.
