Roster Moves: Roberts, Sizemore

The Yankees have made some roster moves after acquiring Martin Prado and Stephen Drew and one of them has to deal with…Brian Roberts.

Brian Roberts: The Yankees have announced they have designated Brian Roberts for assignment. Brian Cashman said Stephen Drew will be the Yankees second basemen and Martin Prado will see a bulk of his time in right field. You know what that means: Ichiro Suzuki goes back to being the fourth outfielder.

Scott Sizemore: After the Yankees acquired Esmil Rogers on waivers, the Yankees had given Scott Sizemore his unconditional release. He played well for the Yankees while with the team, but the Yankees didn’t see him in their future plans and they couldn’t find a spot for him on the big league ball club.

Offense from infield remains questionable but infield's defense is much better. Hopefully, both Headley and Drew make some noise during their peak period in final two months to make a legitimate difference.

Prado definitely is upgraded to Kelly Johnson if Beltran is ready to play RF everyday.

Very pleased with today's movements. With stronger defense, the rotation should begin to win every games. Don't pinch me.

Rogers as a starter for Scranton.. Is that right?
