The Yankees play a matinee game this afternoon and instead of Justin Verlander on the mound for the Tigers, they’re going to face LHP Kyle Lobstein, who is making his Major League Debut. However, before we get into today’s series finale, let’s start the day with another ALS Ice Bucket Challenge video.
Yankees skipper Joe Girardi took the Ice Bucket Challenge, and in the video he reveals he had an uncle pass away this year due to ALS. After Girardi took the Ice Bucket challenge, the New York Yankees donated $100,000 to the ALS Association. A classy move from a classy organization.
The video is on MLB.com, so it wouldn’t embed into the blog post, so just click the link here to see the video.
