Yankees acquire RHP Chaz Roe

The New York Yankees have announced they have acquired RHP Chaz Roe from the Miami Marlins in exchange for cash considerations. Roe appears likely to join the ball club when rosters expand on Tuesday.

The 27-year-old spent the entire season with Triple-A New Orleans where he posted a 3.66 ERA in 64 relief appearances. His sole Major League experience was in 2013 when he pitched 22.1 innings for the Arizona Diamondbacks.

The only question is why. This is where the Yankees should favor their own rookies over others' retreads. That being said, maybe he will do OK and can replace Shawn Kelley. Kelley's ERA is mediocre but he blows games reflected in that or not. Yanks have a good RH bullpen of DROB, Killer B, Adam Warren, and Phelps if he can be dedicated there next year.

he`s an innings filler. Kelley has had a bad outing here or there , but he is way better than this guy
