Yankees Injury Notes: Phelps, Rodriguez

Here’s a few injury notes coming out of the Yankees camp during the off-day.

David Phelps: David Phelps will be re-evaluated today and if all is well, he should start a throwing program. The plan the Yankees had was to shut Phelps down for two weeks and today is two weeks from when he was placed on the disabled list. Fingers crossed that all is well.

Alex Rodriguez: Technically A-Rod’s not injured, but he has been working out in Los Angeles and Miami as he prepares for the upcoming 2015 season. (On a side note, today is the one-year anniversary of Ryan Dempster intentionally hitting Rodriguez. We all know how that one ended between those two).

One Response to Yankees Injury Notes: Phelps, Rodriguez

  1. Heriberto Rivas says:

Castillo, the Cuban detector is said to be like Garner or Ellsbury as a player. The Yankees have questioned the effectiveness of having two lead off type outfielders, why would you want three? Unless Castillo has power, would it be any good? I mean consistent power. There's also talk of him playing second base, I guess we need to get as much talent as possible and if we can't mesh, we can always trade.

Girardi has talked about how upset the boss would be in 2014. With who? Coach didn't mention anyone in particular, but I would say Cashman leads the distinction and Girardi is projecting in regardless. Good for you, I like this guy. Not perfect, who is? But a winner.
