Yankees offense stifled in 2-0 loss to Blue Jays

The Yankees didn’t help their chances in the Wild Card race today as they only mustered one hit in a 2-0 loss to the Toronto Blue Jays at the Rogers Centre at Toronto, Ontario, Canada.

The Yankees only had one hit, which was a double by Mark Teixeira. The team was 0-for-1 with RISP and they left five men on base.

Michael Pineda pitched another good game, going six innings while giving up two runs on seven hits while striking out three. Shawn Kelley pitched a scoreless inning and David Huff pitched a scoreless inning.

What’s Next?

— The Yankees will come back tomorrow and they will attempt to take the series finale against the Blue Jays. They will send Brandon McCarthy, who is coming off a rough outing, to the mound. First pitch is at 1:07 p.m. and the game will air on the YES Network.

    This team plays with no heart!!! Girardi is a terrible manager. Keep batting Gardner At lead off with his 113 strikeouts!!! Are you kidding me!! Start with firing Girardi and Kevin Long!!

    At least shake up the lineup, drop Jeter to 8,fire long. Just who has he ever made a better hitter? Ok he works hard so would Tino or Paul .
