Yankees rally sends them to 6-4 win over Red Sox


Shane Greene didn’t have his best stuff, but the Yankees offense was able to pick him up, giving them a 6-4 win over the Boston Red Sox at Fenway Park in Boston, Massachusetts.

The Yankees put up a four-spot on the Red Sox in the fourth inning; Derek Jeter hit a two-run double, Jacoby Ellsbury had a RBI ground out and Carlos Beltran singled on a ground ball. In the fifth inning, Mark Teixeira hit his 19th home run of the season and in the seventh, Stephen Drew hit a RBI double.

Shane Greene went 4.2 innings, giving up three runs on six hits while striking out five. Shawn Kelley pitched a scoreless 1.1 innings, Adam Warren gave up a run after only retiring one batter, Dellin Betances pitched 1.2 scoreless innings and David Robertson pitched a scoreless ninth.
