Yankees vs. Orioles game postponed

The New York Yankees vs. Baltimore Orioles game has been postponed, according to Mark Feinsand of the Daily News. The Yankees will play a day-night doubleheader on September 12 when the Yankees return to Camden Yards. Shane Greene was slated to pitch tonight with Wei-Yin Chen opposing him.

No word on if Girardi will move Greene back a day or will stick with the original plan and have Michael Pineda pitch tomorrow.

Thanks to the rain-out, NY didn't lose last night.

On a more serious note, I think it's past time to take a hard look at Cashman's effectiveness. It may be time to consider replacing him.

Brian Cashman did not cause injuries to Sabathia, Pineda and Tanaka. Keep trying to knock him down, he's still one of the smartest GMs in baseball. When 3/5ths of your starting staff is on the DL, it's going to be tough to win anything. The Yanks are lucky to be as high in the standings as they are, and I say they are doing a fine job with what they have.
