Yankees Injury Notes: Ellsbury

Jacoby Ellsbury 11

It’s been a relatively quiet off-day for the Yankees, so here’s a quick injury update on one of the Yankees hottest bats before he was benched with an ankle injury.

Jacoby Ellsbury: Ellsbury told the media last night he was going to have an MRI on his ankle when he got to Yankee Stadium. However, the Yankees haven’t announced the results of the MRI. I would imagine the MRI isn’t bad considering he had a fluoroscope on his ankle the day he injured it and the results came back negative. Ellsbury did batting practice yesterday before the game but he was unable to convince Joe Girardi to put him in the lineup. Fingers crossed Ellsbury is in the lineup tomorrow.
