On a night when Adam Warren couldn’t get through five innings, the bullpen stepped up and gave the Yankees the chance for victory, beating the Baltimore Orioles 5-4 at Yankee Stadium in the Bronx, New York.
The Yankees scored three runs n the first inning on a SAC Fly by Alex Rodriguez and a two-run home run by Brian McCann. The Yankees tacked on two more runs in the third inning on a Carlos Beltran two-run double.
Adam Warren went 4.2 innings, giving up two runs on seven hits and striking out two. Justin Wilson gave up two runs in an inning of work, Chris Martin pitched a scoreless inning, Dellin Betances pitched 1.1 scoreless innings and Andrew Miller pitched a scoreless ninth, picking up his 13th save of the season.
