While the Yankees were busy on the field yesterday, the front office was just as busy making roster moves. Just to play catch-up, here were the roster moves the Yankees made over the course of Sunday.
— The Yankees had optioned both Danny Burawa and Jose De Paula back to Triple-A Scranton after they both pitchede in the 12-4 blow-out loss against the Detroit Tigers. Burawa gave up four runs in two-thirds of an inning and De Paula walked four in 3.1 innings.
— Unfortunate news for Jacob Lindgren: He has to undergo surgery to remove a couple bone spurs from his elbow. No timetable for his return yet, but it’s such a shame. He pitched ‘okay’ for the Yankees when he came up from the minor leagues, but he left a huge impression in his first outing by pitching two scoreless innings.
