Yankees sign first round draft pick Kyle Holder

The New York Yankees have announced they have signed first round pick SS Kyle Holder to a contract earlier this afternoon. Holder was selected as the 30th overall pick as compensation for the Yankees losing David Robertson to the Chicago White Sox this past offseason.

Holder was named the 2015 West Coast Conference Player of the Year and was selected as a semi-finalist for the Brooks Wallace Award, which recognizes the nations top shortstop.

The contract was worth $1.8 Million.
