Chase Headley could sit out until after the All-Star break

Chase Headley has been out since Wednesday with inflammation in his knee, and while Headley was anticipating his return during the Boston series, the Yankees might give Headley a little more rest.

Joe Girardi told the media before the game that it’s possible Headley sits out until after the All-Star break, which could give Headley’s knee time to heal. The extra time off could do Headley some good, as Headley’s hitting .251/.305/.368 with an OPS of .673 throughout the first half of the season.
