Derek Jeter wins Icon Award at ESPYS; Alex Rodriguez issues ‘apology’

Last night ABC hosted the ESPY (Excellence in Sports Performance Yearly Awards) awards and one of the winners was former Yankees captain Derek Jeter, who took home the Icon Award following a 20-year career with the New York Yankees. While Jeter was accepting an ESPY, Alex Rodriguez was also in the audience and decided to have a little bit of fun by ‘apologizing’ to baseball and the fans. However, his apology wasn’t exactly what anyone was expecting. The clip above is Derek Jeter accepting his ESPY and right below is Alex Rodriguez’s ‘apology’. And…don’t take A-Rod’s apology seriously, it’s all in good fun.
