After pitching against the Yankees last night, Yovani Gallardo is gaining interest from other teams–including the team he opposed just the night before.
According to Jon Heyman of CBS Sports, the Yankees along with the Chicago Cubs, Toronto Blue Jays, Los Angeles Dodgers and San Francisco Giants are in the mix for Gallardo. The Yankees are currently suffering rotation issues with Michael Pineda going on the DL and CC Sabathia being their most unreliable starter. It’s unclear how legitimate the Yankees interest is, but at this point they seem to be calling teams, with hopes of landing someone.
Gallardo is 7-9 with a 3.39 ERA and a 1.335 WHIP in 127.1 innings for the Rangers.
