Roster Moves: Burawa, Cotham, Jones, Rumbelow and Severino


Here are a few roster moves the Yankees made prior to this evening’s game against the Boston Red Sox:

— The Yankees have designated RHP Danny Burawa for assignment. As a corresponding move, the Yankees have placed RHP Luis Severino on the 40-man roster.

— The Yankees have optioned RHP Caleb Cotham to Triple-A Scranton Wilkes-Barre prior to tonight’s game.

— The Yankees have signed OF Garrett Jones to a $1.8 Million deal and have placed him on the 25-man roster.

— Following last night’s game, the Yankees have sent RHP Nick Rumbelow to Triple-A Scranton Wilkes-Barre.

    and ackley has been assigned as the designated DL person…. he'll come off the bench and onto the DL whenever it's required.
