Yankees make multiple roster moves

Here are the few roster moves the Yankees made on the first official day of the offseason.

— The Yankees have announced they have removed Dustin AckleyNathan EovaldiChad GreenBranden Pinder and Nick Rumbelow from the 60-day disabled list.

The removal of the players from the DL is merely a formality as some of the players, notably Eovaldi, aren’t available to play next season. If Eovaldi isn’t non-tendered by the Yankees, the Yankees would put Eovaldi back on the disabled list seeing he can’t pitch until 2018.

— The Yankees also added Kyle Higashioka and Domingo German to the 40-man roster.

It was a given the Yankees were adding Higashioka to the 40-man to protect him from the Rule-5 Draft, but the inclusion of German is interesting.

German is interesting. Dustin and Nate both probable non tenders. Can't wait to see Green in ST and see what he's got. But his next season should be closely monitored. Remember Nate went down the season before and now is out. Maybe out for good

does anyone know when the 40 men gets set? would be great if someone could list the exposed players

Monday will be the first day for MLB rosters. Afterwards, rosters will continuously change daily or weekly. Big names or notable prospects will be mentioned some time. There is no list set for that.

It's sometime in the end of November they get set for the Rule-5 draft at the winter meetings if that's when you're asking. I can't find a specific date anywhere but I suspect it's 1 week prior to the draft.

Totally forget about German. He could be on fast movement next year.
