Yankees Spring Training games begin today!

It’s been a long and peculiar winter. But the New York Yankees are back on television…even if it is just exhibition season.

This afternoon, the New York Yankees will take on the Philadelphia Phillies in the first game of the Spring season. The game will air on the YES Network and the start time is scheduled for 1:05 p.m.

Bryan Mitchell will be the starter for this afternoon’s game and Alec Asher will counter for the Phillies. All of the Yankees regulars except for Jacoby Ellsbury are slated to be in the lineup, so Yankees fans will get their first look at new DH Matt Holliday.

I’ll be back in a bit to bring alone a little pregame notes, but until then let’s rejoice.

Yankees baseball has returned, and we are all very excited for it!
