Castro homers in 4-3 win over Cardinals

Cardinals vs. Yankees
FINAL: Yankees 4, Cardinals 3
WIN: Masahiro Tanaka (1-1, 8.36 ERA)
LOSS: Michael Wacha (1-1, 3.00 ERA)

The St. Louis Cardinals made their first trek to Yankee Stadium in years, and for Matt Holliday it was nice to see his former teammates. But the story of the night was Masahiro Tanaka appearing dominant and Starlin Castro delivering a blow against Michael Wacha in a 4-3 win at Yankee Stadium in the Bronx, New York.

The Yankees got on the board in the first when Castro hit a two-run shot. In the second, Austin Romine homered, and in the fifth Chase Headley hit a RBI double.

Tanaka went 6.1 innings, giving up three runs on five hits while striking out five. Tyler Clippard retired two batters, Dellin Betances pitched a scoreless eighth and Aroldis Chapman pitched a scoreless ninth.
