Perfect at home: Yankees take series lead behind Tanaka gem

The Yankees have won three in a row, all at home, to go up 3-2 in the ALCS after a 5-0 win against the Houston Astros Wednesday night at Yankee Stadium.

Masahiro Tanaka: 7 IP, 3 H, 0 ER, 1 BB, 8 K. Tommy Kahnle scoreless over the final two.¬†Offensively — it was the young core again — Greg Bird, Aaron Judge, Gary Sanchez and Didi Gregorius all had RBIs. The Gary hit a solo shot in the 7th.

The Yankees are one win away from the World Series!

Gary Sanchez can not hold on to a baseball when thrown to him from the outfield to save his life. He needs to work on defense badly.

Good thing I did not hold any high hope ater 3-2 series otherwise I would suffer a heart attack. lol.

Hopefully, Andujar, Torre and/or Red Frazier can hit well at away venue next postseason.

This was a great and enjoyable season. Great being a Yankee fan. Can't wait for next year!! I want Girardi and Cashman back. You won't find anyone better. I would love to bring Frazier back, but probably doesn't make sense, Bird for a full season could look like this: 30 + home runs, 100 RBI, .300 avg. Not too shabby. Castro was on his way for 200 hits and 20 + home runs until injuries got in the way. Torres will probably start in the minors to begin, 2018, but soon will be up to man 3B…… We need more pitching, so hopefully Chance Adams can be up and soon after Sheffield maybe. Maybe a trade or two for help. …. I'm always thinking, trade some of our young hitters in the minors for other pitchers in the minors. … could they trade Gleyber Torres? Imagine the pitching prospects he could bring. A lot to think about, but such a great future, can't wait for 2018!!

Bringing Frazier back could help Yankees acquire SPs by giving up Andujar or Torres. However, as long as Girardi is in charge trading either prospect or both for SP could be a bust. I won't sit well if new acquired SP can't go thru 3rd or 4th lineup for Girardi.

And what does Aaron Judge do for an encore? What can we expect. He cuts down the strike outs, who knows?

How are our kids in AFL?
