Yankees tie the series at 2-2 behind late rally

The Yankees overcame a 4-0 deficit (thanks for nothing Starlin Castro) to beat the Astros 6-4 at Yankee Stadium on Tuesday night to tie the ALCS at 2-2.

Aaron Judge is the hero in this game for his 7th inning homer and game-tying double in the 8th. Gary Sanchez also drove in three and Sonny Gray held the Astros to just one earned run on one hit in five innings. Shutout also to Chad Green for doing Chad Green things.

What a game, what a team. This was very typical of the 2017 Yankees. Now they just gotta win two of the next three.

That's why baseball is a team game, the rest of the Yankees picked up Castro and won the game. Maybe Castro will be a hero tonight. Other noteworthy players, Didi, Todd Frazier, Headley, Romine, Chapman, Gardner and Bird walked 3times. I believe I mentioned the whole lineup, that's what I'm talking about. In addition to the ones Rob mentioned. Team, Team, Team.

  2. Steve S. says:

First time I remember Judge getting a big hit close and late. Big step for him.

Yanks just won 5-0. It sure seems like everything is falling into place, Tanaka pitching his ass off his last 4 or 5 starts, Judge mashing, Sanchez coming alive, Headley hitting, the bullpen outstanding. Severino, Sabathia, Gray pitching a great game. WOW, one game away from the World Series, What a ride!!!
